Abstract

This paper will deal with the design of a digital regulator to control a DC/DC power amplifier for the control of a DC machine. An optimization criteria will be assumed and solved for providing fast speed control response. The state equations and solution for control will be developed. These control equations will then be set up for implementation on a microprocessor providing real time control to a DC/DC power amplifier. The output of the DC/DC power amplifier will be pulse width modulated to provide the desired control to the motor.
