Abstract

Today, one of the major goals of education is to help the individual actualize his potentialities in the context of the society in which he lives. This provision for self-actualization must include the integration of the individual's sex life with all other facets of his development. In this, as in other areas of education, the attitudes of parents and teachers convey meanings which often have significant influence throughout the children's lives. If these attitudes towards sex are warped, faulty, or incorrect, the children's attitudes also tend to become so.

This study has been undertaken to determine similarities and differences of attitudes between religious teachers and those of a public school faculty on a sex education program.
