Abstract

Ever since the discovery of individual differences in people and the realization of their implications for teaching, there has been much lip service paid to the need for providing for these differences in school systems . However, for all the efforts being put forth in this field there have been very few methods presented which are sufficiently valuable for use with groups of students. The big problem might be the lock-step or traditional system of grades used by a very large percentage of our schools today. There have been experiments in the past which seemed to lend much support to this assumption at least, but for one reason or other they have never achieved what would seem proper recognition.
