Abstract
M. R. Stone, in his paper The Theory of Representation for Boolean Algebras, makes an extensive study of Boolean rings. One has only to read the above mentioned article of Stone's in order to get some idea of the many facets of Boolean rings which one might investigate. One could go on indefinitely, introducing various concepts and analyzing their particular properties. We cannot possibly hope to do any more in this paper than to consider a few of the more important concepts set forth by Stone in his paper, particularly those relating to the ideals of a Boolean ring, and to give their more elementary properties.
