Abstract

The position of Home Rule in the Liberal party program from 1894 to 1910 caused difficulties among the Liberal leaders. To understand the importance of the administration of Ireland in Liberal policy requires covering three areas. First, the state of the Liberal party during these years must be understood. Second, the position of Home Rule in the Liberal program must be determined. And third, the relationship between the Liberal leaders and the Irish Nationalists must be clarified.
