Abstract

The Theory of Queuing, or Waiting Line Theory, as it is often called, is in general, a systematic, mathematical study of any situation in which there is involved the concepts of a "servine" performed on an "object" which must "arrive" at the service point in a way which is completely random in nature. It is a study with the expressed purpose of predicting the system's behavior as the various system parameters go through various changes.
